Roster Update: Yankees Designate Matt Daley For Assignment

According to Matt Polishuk of MLBTradeRumors.com, the New York Yankees have designated relief pitcher Matt Daley for assignment. Daley had just been recalled from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre yesterday, and this is the second time during this season that the Yankees have made this exact move.

While Daley has been impressive at Triple-A with a 3.38 ERA on the season, his luck has not been nearly as good at the big league level, posting a 4.85 ERA in 13 innings of work for the Bronx Bombers. The team has yet to announce a corresponding move for the DFA of Daley.
