After a disappointing performance from the bullpen in last night’s 9-3 loss to the Indians, the Yankees are looking to bounce back and open up another huge series with the Baltimore Orioles with a win tonight at 7:05 PM.

Hiroki Kuroda will get the start for the Yankees, as he has posted a 6-6 record with a 4.20 ERA. Kuroda had to work hard in his last start against the Twins on Sunday to get the win. He went 5 2/3 innings, and gave up four runs on seven hits. A positive outcome from his start was he finally got run support, something that he has been lacking throughout the season.

Miguel Gonzalez will be on the mound for the Orioles, as he comes into the game with a 4-5 record and 4.22 ERA. Gonzalez is coming off one of his best starts of the season against the Red Sox on Saturday, by going eight innings and allowing just two runs on seven hits.

GAME NOTES:

The Orioles are having a hot July, as they have been 7-2 so far this month.

Brett Gardner has now reached base safely in 24 consecutive games, and is looking to continue that streak at Camden Yards.

Derek Jeter recorded yet another milestone last night, as he now has 1,000 multi-hit games in his career.
