Derek Jeter Excited For Final All-Star Appearance

Derek Jeter got a standing ovation after his last at-bat Sunday against the Twins. It was most likely his final at-bat of his career against the Twins at least at Target Field. However, Jeter will be returning to Target field on July 15th for the All-Star Game, which will be his 14th and final Mid-Summer Classic.

“It feels good,” Jeter said to Brendan Kuty of NJ.com. “All-Star games are fun. Having the opportunity to come back here is special. It’s the last one for me. I’m extremely happy”.  Jeter got 3,928,422 votes from fans all around and was well ahead of second place finisher Alexei Ramirez, who is actually have a much better season statistically.

For all the fans saying Derek Jeter does not deserve to be an All-Star you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.  Jeter is not an All-Star for this year. He is being acknowledged for his career achievements. Jeter has always carried himself with class and grace, and he will also be remembered as one of the best to ever do it, He’s not just an All-Star this year, he’s an All-Star for life.

Jeter is hitting .273 with 2 homers and 23 RBI. Most fans will be delighted to see Jeter out there as an All-Star one last time. It should be a sight to see!!
