With the acquisition of Brandon McCarthy, and the departure of Vidal Nuno, and the shuffling around of pitchers like Jim Miller and Bruce Billings coming in, the Yankees needed a starting pitcher for the first of four in Cleveland tomorrow night.

Shane Greene will be that person as he will get the start.

What about how the rotation sets up after that? Glad you asked.

"Girardi says rotation for week is shane greene, then Tanaka, then McCarthy weds. Whitley will go to bullpen for now, may still start thurs— Daniel Barbarisi (@DanBarbarisi) July 6, 2014"
