TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (36-41) were postponed.

The game between the RailRiders and Rochester Red Wings was postponed due to rain. This matchup is rescheduled for July 10th. If the weather is not a factor, the team will continue its season with a doubleheader against the Syracuse Chiefs. The first game will be at 6:00 PM. Alfredo Aceves will get the start for the RailRiders, a familiar face that has appeared in the majors for multiple teams. His record sits at 0-0 with a 2.89 ERA. Manny Delcarmen is the opposing pitcher, as he comes in with a record of 3-2 with a 2.78 ERA. In the second game that is to be started immediately upon completion of the first, Bryan Mitchell will get handed the ball for the RailRiders. He has a blank record, as it indicates 0-0 with an ERA of 0.00. Taylor Hill will be competing against him, with an impressive record of 9-2 with a 1.92 ERA.

Trenton Thunder (36-43) lose to Bowie BaySox (41-36) 7-3

The Thunder didn’t have another good night, as they lost their third game in a row to the BaySox, and now have lost their fourth game in a row. Thunder starting pitcher Eric Wooten had a rough night on the mound, as he only lasted 4.2 innings and gave up five runs, on seven hits, while walking none and striking out one. Dan Fiorito had a productive night at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a home run and driving in two runs. The next game is scheduled at 7:05 PM against the Erie SeaWolves. Jairo Heredia will get the start for the team, as he comes in with a 2-1 record and 2.82 ERA.

The Tampa Yankees (37-41) defeat the Clearwater Threshers (20-55) 9-3

The offense had a power surge, and were able to score nine runs in their victory. Starting pitcher Luis Severino threw a great game, going six innings and not giving up any runs or hits. Severino walked one and struck out six. Jake Cave had a remarkable night at the plate, going 5-for-6. The team will finish off this series with a game beginning at 7:00 PM. Conner Kendrick will get the start for the Yankees, coming in with a 3-4 record and 4.34 ERA.

The Charleston RiverDogs (35-42) lose to Savannah Sand Gnats (48-25) 4-0

The RiverDogs got blanked for the second game in a row, as they have now lost the last two against the Sand Gnats. Chaz Hebert got the start for the dogs, as he lasted five innings and gave up two runs, on seven hits, while walking two and striking out six. Miguel Andujar went 2-for-3 at the plate, and had the most hits out of the whole lineup. The team is looking to get back in the win column, as they send Ian Clarkin to the mound. Clarkin comes into the game with a 2-3 record and 3.47 ERA. The game is set to start at 7:05 PM.

Staten Island Yankees (8-5) defeat the Hudson Valley Renegades (8-5) 9-0

Staten Island showed up with their bats and pitching, as they blanked the Renegades. Sam Agnew-Wieland got the win, as he went four innings and gave up no runs. He walked three and struck out four.
