It was a pretty miserable day for the Yankees Minor Leaguers Sunday. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre was the only team that could scrape out a win. Even that took a late rally.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (36-39) defeat Pawtucket Red Sox (38-40) 5-4

Shane Greene went five innings for SWB, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits. Green struck out five. Robert Refsnyder went two-for-three with his first homer at Triple-A. Austin Romine drove in a pair. Jeremy Bleich will look to turn his Triple-A campaign around Monday, when the RailRiders host the Red Sox. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.

Trenton Thunder (36-40) lose to New Hampshire Fisher Cats (31-43) 7-2

Matt Tracy started and allowed two runs in five innings. An error and a passed ball from Peter O’Brien in the eighth gave reliever Phil Wetherall the loss. Rob Segedin hit his sixth home run and Gary Sanchez collected three hits. Manny Banuelos makes the start for Trenton on Monday at 6:35.

Tampa Yankees (34-40) lose to Daytona Cubs (29-43) 4-2

Miguel Sulbaran pitched terrifically for Tampa, going six shutout innings of one hit ball before the bullpen blew the stellar effort. Jake Cave and Dante Bichette Jr. each had two hits and Jose Rosario and Aaron Judge drove in a run a piece. The Yankees will play the Cubs again Monday and Jaron Long will make the 7:00 first pitch.

Charleston RiverDogs (34-40) lose to Kannapolis Intimidators (32-39) 6-5)

Brady Lail started for the RiverDogs and gave up four runs in seven innings, and struck out five. Dustin Fowler continued his hot hitting going two-for-five with his fourth homer, while driving in two. The RiverDogs will send Omar Luis to the mound on Monday, against the Savannah Sand Gnats. First pitch is 7:05.

Staten Island Yankees (5-5) lose to Hudson Valley Renegades (6-4) 4-3 in eleven innings.

Dillon McNamara started for the Yankees gave up three runs (2 earned) in four innings. He struck out three. Nathan Mikolas had two hits and an RBI for Staten Island. A starter for Monday’s 7:05 game against Aberdeen has not been announced.
