The Baby Bombers had a good day Tuesday, going 3-1 with Trenton taking the only loss. This is how the day played out.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (34-36) defeat Toledo Mud Hens (34-38) 8-7

It was slug fest in Toledo, as the two teams combined for twenty hits and fifteen runs. Austin Romine blasted his fourth home run of the season in the sixth inning. Jose Pirela continues to push for a Major League call up. His two hits on Tuesday raised his average to .328. Jeremy Bleich was not sharp for SWB, giving up six runs (five earned) in four innings. Bruce Billings will be on the mound Wednesday, as the RailRiders look for their third straight win.

Trenton Thunder (34-38) lose to Bowie BaySox (36-34) 5-2

Tyler Webb started for Trenton, and was very good through six innings. He gave up just one run on six hits before the bullpen gave up four in the next inning and a third. Ali Castillo was the only Trenton player with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-2 with a RBI. Losers of six straight, the Thunder will send Manny Banuelos to the mound on Wednesday.

Tampa Yankees (33-36) defeat Daytona Cubs (25-42) 1-0

Miguel Sulbaran was outstanding for the Yankees, going six shutout innings and allowing just four hits. Dante Bichette, Jr. had two hits and drove in the only run. He’s now hitting .275 with 37 RBI. Rafael De Paula takes the hill Wednesday.

The Charleston RiverDogs’ Aaron Judge opened the scoring for the South All-Stars in the third, with a two-run single. he finished the game 1-for-3. Brady Lail pitched a perfect fourth inning. The RiverDogs resume play on Thursday.

Staten Island Yankees (3-2) defeat Aberdeen Iron Birds (0-5) 4-3

Austin Aune had a hit and drove in two for the Yankees. Dillon McNamara started and went three and a third, giving up one run, while striking out four. The Yankees will give Andy Beresford the start on Thursday.
