He pitched six innings of one-run ball and struck out four. Bryan Mitchell gets the start for Trenton on Wednesday.
SINGLE-A
Tampa Yankees (28-30) lose to Fort Myers Miracle (34-23) 8-0
On a day that the team found out they were sending five players to the All-Star Game, the Yankees sure did play some uninspiring baseball. The team collected just two hits, one a piece from Cito Culver and Zach Wilson. Chaz Herbert started for Tampa and gave up four runs (3 earned) in three innings. All-Star Dan Camarena looks to get Tampa back on track Wednesday.
Charleston RiverDogs (27-31) lose to Hickory Crawdads (30-27) 8-7
Tyler Wade went 3-5 with three RBI and Eduardo de Oleo hit his eighth homer, but it was a close-but-no-cigar type of day for the RiverDogs. Rookie Davis got the start and allowed five runs on six hits in four-and-a-third innings. Luis Severino takes his 2.68 ERA into Wednesday’s start.
