The Yankees’ neophytes had a nice day Tuesday going 4-1, with Charleston sweeping a doubleheader. Here’s the Yankees coverage of MiLB for May 27th.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (26-24) defeat Louisville Bats (24-27) 11-4

It was a hit parade for the RailRiders as the team collected sixteen base knocks. Infielders Scott Sizemore and Dean Anna paced SWB with three hits each. Corban Joseph tripled and drove in four. Bruce Billings started and gave up four runs in 2.2 innings, but the bullpen picked him up. Brian Gordon takes the mound for the RailRiders on Wednesday.

DOUBLE-A

Trenton Thunder (29-23) defeat Reading Fightin Phils (28-21) 3-1

Matt Tracy was very good over six and a third innings. The lefty allowed one run and struck out three. Tyler Austin had two hits and drove in a pair for the Thunder. Eric Ruth will make the start for Trenton on Wednesday.

Tampa Yankees (26-25) lose to Bradenton Marauders (25-26) 9-6

Despite collecting 15 hits as a team, the Yanks could not pick up a win. Dante Bichette Jr had three RBI and Cito Culver went 4-for-5. Miguel Sulbaran just didn’t have it, giving up eleven hits and five runs (four earned) aver four innings. Conner Kendrick will be on the mound or Tampa Wednesday.

Charleston RiverDogs (27-24) sweep doubleheader vs. Greenvile Drive (25-25)

Game One: Charleston 4 Greenville 2

Tyler Wade had two hits and three RBI for the RiverDogs. Caleb Smith had a good outing, going five and a third and giving up two runs.

Game Two: Charleston 3 Greenville 0

Jaron long shut out Greenville in the second game, going seven innings and allowing just two hits. He struck out nine. Mike Ford‘s three hits and two RBI was all Charleston needed. Brady Lail looks to keep the RiverDogs going on Wednesday.
