Ellsbury To Sit Out Tonight's Game With Sore Left Hand

The Yankees posted their lineup for Tuesday night’s game against Robinson Cano and the Mariners, but someone was noticeably missing. Jacoby Ellsbury will sit out tonight’s game with a sore left hand, Joe Girardi confirmed. Girardi said the hand has been bothering Ellsbury for the past couple of days, and he went for an MRI, which came back negative. Girardi said he hopes Ellsbury can play tomorrow, and also didn’t rule out the possibility of him appearing as a pinch hitter in tonight’s game, so that is a good sign that he should be alright.
