While there has been quite a bit of activity for the New York Yankees over the past week, they were smaller moves that general manager Brian Cashman believes will help fill out the remainder of his roster. After initially making a big splash this winter with the signings of Brian McCann, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Carlos Beltran, several smaller moves have been taking place–including a handful this week. - Co-editor Billy Brost questions whether the Yankees should bother waiting for Masahiro Tananka, and if the Japanese pitching sensation will be the next Yu Darvish or Hideki Irabu.
- Staff newcomer Aaron Cornielle addresses what remains for the Yankees as pitchers and catchers report in less than 60 days.
- Co-editor Billy Brost summarizes the Carlos Beltran introductory press conference by the Yankees.
- Co-editor Billy Brost bids short term Yankees infielder Kevin Youkilis good-bye as he heads overseas.
