Now that the Thanksgiving turkey has settled, it seems that New York Yankees fans have a lot to be thankful for. Here are some of the ones that will top our list as we sit around the table this time next year.

1. Robinson Cano signed. With the contract negotiations out of the way, he responded with his best season in 2014, which earned him the MVP.

2. Derek Jeter stayed healthy.Once again, he showed that his best days are not behind him-they are still here. He started in the All Star Game and put up 200 hits.

3.C C Sabathia returned to form en route to a 20 win season and the CY Young Award.

4.The Yankees outfield consisted of Alfonso Soriano, Brett Gardner, and-drum roll please-Carlos Beltran!

5.Mark Teixeira healed up and hit 40 homeruns with 125 RBI.

6.Brian McCann gave the Yankees offense and defense.

7.Michael Pineda  finally paid dividends, by making 30 starts and returning to his rookie season form.

8.The Yankees won the American League East.

9.The Yankees won the American League Pennant.

10.The Yankees won the World Series.

So print it out and put it up on your refrigerator. That´s what we´ll be talking about around the Thanksgiving table next year. Don´t pay any attention to those who may doubt it. They probably don´t believe in Santa Claus either.
