Twins at Yankees Podcast Preview

The Yankees are back on track after taking two of three from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim over the weekend. New York took two of three, including a 11-5 victory last night. Ivan Nova showed the world why he is the number two starter for the Bombers. I mean, who else has a number four starter who hasn’t lost a game since June of last year?

Anyway, this seems to be the perfect time for NY to keep winning with the Minnesota Twins coming to town for a four game series beginning tonight. Most Yankee fans will be looking ahead to the weekend series with the Boston Red Sox. However, there is still business at hand NYY needs to take care of against a Twin team that is horrible at Yankee Stadium and has lost seven of its first nine games so far this year.

Minnesota is a young team that is looking to re-build, particularly with the starting rotation. They do have Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau both healthy, which in my opinion is great for baseball. Plus, they have one of the hottest hitters so far this year in outfielder Josh Willingham.

Here is what I talk about on the podcast:

  • Angels series recap
  • Pitching Matchups
  • Pavano haunts the Yankees again and he’s reliable?
  • Garcia’s control issues
  • Liriano’s young inconsistencies
  • CC’s need for a dominant start
  • Marquis’ homecoming
  • Kuroda’ s great opening day control!
  • Why Mark Teixeira will have a big series!
  • Hughes’ frustrations
  • PREDICTIONS!
  • Minnesota – the Yankee Playoff punching bag!
  • Will we have same old Twins moments?
