  • Well, what could have been disastrous and in fact caused much hand-wringing seems to have been nothing to worry about at all. Dave Robertson is out of the walking boot and playing catch pain-free. He also says he’ll be ready to go on Opening Day.
  • Yesterday Randy Levine announced that Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano would be key parts of the Yankees core going forward, despite the team’s desire to lower payroll by 2014. The Pinstriped Bible to the opportunity to reflect on Cano, while IATMS took a look at Granderson.
  • Hiroki Kuroda pitched three strong innings against the Astros last night, but he still feels that he could have done better. I’ve gotta say, from what I’ve seen of Kuroda so far this spring, I really love his attitude. He is a team-first guy who is never satisfied with simply being good – he wants to be perfect. I have a feeling he’s going to fit in very well with his Yankees teammates.
