CC, Michael, and Mo: Monday Yankees Links

  • We’ve talked a lot recently about A-Rod’s efforts to eat healthy and come into this season in great physical shape, but CC Sabathia is also making an effort to eat healthier. Basically, the Big Man is brown-bagging it with meals prepared by his personal chef because that is the easiest way to maintain portion control throughout the day. Hey, whatever works.
  • The Yankee Analysts took a look at health, repetition, and development, and broke down which Yankees players need to strive for each category.
  • Michael Pineda got the start in yesterday’s Spring Training game, and the Captain’s Blog took a look at whether he is a lock for one of the five rotation spots.
  • When talking to reporters about where he is physically at this point in the year, Mariano Rivera said “I was born ready.” This isn’t really news, but I just really love the mental picture of Mo saying that to a group of reporters.
  • IATMS has what they admittedly call an “attempt” to project the Yankees’ starting rotation. As John Sterling will remind us approximately 98,752,846 times this year, “you can’t predict baseball!” But hey, it’s certainly fun to try.
