@JamisonSoundMen I feel you on Pineda. I watched him a bit early in 2011 and he was nice. I can't wait to see how he does in NY...I don't blame you for being excited about Jesus; he's going to be awesome. He was raking when he got called up last year, granted it was a very small sample size but he looked good. Enjoy him (and Noesi too).

Also, Edgar is the man. I was always a fan of his. Thanks for reading.

As a Mariners fan I can totally understand how you feel about losing a player that you have a strong connection to. I got a chance to watch Pineda grow as a minor league player and make it to the bigs. Not only did he make it, he was crushing! Pineda is a great player and I sucks to see him go, however, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't stoked to see Montero play here! He talks in that interview about idolizing one of my childhood heros, Edgar Martinez. He has drawn so many comparisons to Edgar over the last couple of years I couldn't NOT pay attention to Montero. I'm hoping that Montero is one key piece that will help get the Mariners back into the playoffs, and hopefully one day I'll be able to watch a WS at Safeco. Best of luck with Pineda.
