NY Post Needs To Get A Life

I’m not sure if this is an attempt to avoid being outdone by Boston’s scandal or a case of the slow pre-hot stove offseason, but either way it’s ridiculous. I’m usually a fan (or at least not a hater) of the NY Post’s sports coverage, but give me a break.

Not only did the paper stir some ish up regarding Cashman going to the Red Sox, but they also found it necessary to rip on A-Rod for — GASP — playing golf. THE GALL!

Look, I hate A-Rod as much as the next guy but taking shots at him for playing golf in the offseason while trying to get some tail in the process is absurd. That’s the old joke about what ballplayers do in the offseason — they play golf and philander. This should not be news.

Maybe if news outlets would stop following him around 24-7 and quit trying to dig up dirt it would ease some of his tensions at the plate in the playoffs. Just throwing that out there.

Plus, if you’re going to hate on him at least spell the name of his car correctly. Mecerdes Benx? Come on son.

April 5 can’t get here soon enough.
