RHP Dan Burawa and left fielder Rob Segedin were the only Yankees prospects to get some innings in the Arizona Fall League today.
Batting out of the 3-hole, Segedin went 1-3 at the plate and worked a walk, bringing his AFL average to .258.
Burawa entered the game in relief in the bottom of the 4th inning. He threw 1.2 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs (both of which were earned), and one walk. Burawa’s rough outing brought his Arizona Fall League ERA up to 6.23, which is nearly 3 runs higher than his ERA in Single-A this season. But the AFL is a developmental league, after all, and Burawa was dominant in his one inning of relief in Saturday’s game when he held Scottsdale hitless and scoreless.
The Desert Dogs take on the Surprise Saguaros tomorrow at 2:35 PM EST.
