It’s Rookie Hazing Season!

You may have noticed lately the pictures coming out around the league of rookies dressed up in all sorts of fun costumes. Well the Yankees have finally gotten in on the rookie hazing action and this year’s theme was 80′s Pop Stars.

From left to right we have Andrew Brackman and Dellin Betances as Milli Vanilli, George Kontos as George Michael, Hector Noesi as Prince, Austin Romine as Madonna, Jesus Montero as MC Hammer, and Brandon Laird as Slash. Overall a pretty good looking group!

The Yankees have a pretty solid history of great rookie hazing costumes. Here are the 2009 rookies as super heroes:

And the 2007 rookies as the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Joba as the Cowardly Lion was clearly a great choice – he looks pretty at home in that costume!

And of course, who could forget Robbie Cano and Chien Ming-Wang in 2005?
