Yankees-Indians Preview: Explosive bats for 4th of July Series?

Last time these two teams met, a bean war ensued! Will Fireworks continue in Cleveland? (Joe Proudman/The Star-Ledger)

After a successful Subway Series, the Bronx Bombers will be celebrating their 4th of July on the road against the Cleveland Indians. The Indians left the Bronx in first place back in June and now they are still a little bit ahead of the Tigers as we head toward the All-Star Break. A couple of prominent Yankees return back to the big league club in captain Derek Jeter tonight and Phil Hughes on Wednesday. Will the Yankees roll into the All-Star break on a high note? We will find out as we sit down and enjoy the fireworks and hopefully some explosive home runs!

Here is what I discuss on another dynamite podcast:

  • Pitching Matchups
  • Jeter’s return
  • A Big Bat for Cleveland that wasn’t there before
  • Tomlin’s potential milestone
  • Will Hughes be back to his 2010 self?
  • All-Star Snubs!!!!
  • Series Prediction

I hope they deliver that July 4th Lou Gehrig speech :)

That would be awesome if the game was played at Yankee Stadium. I’m sure Cleveland will do something good for the festivities with the special 6:30 time tonight
