I could see the Yanks taking a gamble on him but it's just not worth it. Only throwing 55 plus innings is horrible. I still think the Yanks should take the bite on Ben Sheets. Yes, he's still had an injury laden past but he'll flourish in the middle of the rotation until he's comfortable to step up. As for the remaining field, I've never been a Freddy Garcia fan so he's. The Yankees next best option to fill the lefty void is Jeff Francis. Outside of that I'd seriously consider Chris Young. The man throws ched and is a monster constantly being hindered by a bad run support system and the Jake Peavy shadow.

Word to the Yanks....don't bank on Pettitte although I love to have him back, and focus on Sheets, Francis, and Young until the young ones are ready.

It really couldn't hurt to sign him to an incentive-laden deal. He's going to be in no position to demand a lot of money after his 2010. Maybe they'll catch lightning in a bottle and he'll be dirty. As Sterling would say, you just can't predict baseball.

Why would the Yankees want a pitcher that's out of shape and fragile?

If the Yankees offense could beat him what do you think the redsox offense will do to him?

As a Yankees fan, nevah be desperate, the ownership has money to spend, and not just throw away.
