As you can tell from the headline, the Yankees have announced their Spring Training schedule for 2011. The 32-game slate kicks off with a home-and-home series against the Phightin Phils on February 26 and concludes with a March 29 game against the Tigers at Legends Field George M. Steinbrenner Field. The regular season begins a couple of days later later on March 31 against those same Tigers.

Oh look, Posada still thinks he’s an everyday catcher, that’s cute. I love Posada and think he should be in the Hall of Fame when he retires, but he’s not an everyday catcher anymore. His bat is still a serious weapon but the days of him catching 80-100 games a year are over. WE WANT JESUS!!!

Georgie:

"I’m going to prepare for (the starting catching job). I love catching, love being behind the plate. I take a lot of pride — that’s my position. If they want me to be DH or catch, just be honest and let me know what’s up."

Have a look-see at Yankee Stadium’s appearance as it prepares to host a football game.

Check back tomorrow as MLB will be announcing the AL Gold Glove winners.

Only 98 more days until pitchers and catchers report.

LET’S GO YANKS!!!!!
