Down goes Tex

The Yanks scratched out a 3-1 victory over the O’s on Tuesday, but at what cost?

Bad news: Teixeira fouled a ball off his left foot in the third inning and left the game. X-rays were negative, but so were Jorge Posada’s a few weeks ago. Speaking of which, Georgie’s a little salty the Yanks didn’t take him off the DL on Tuesday.

Good news: Javy (4-5) pitched very well on Tuesday. He went seven innings and gave up a run on four hits while fanning seven and walking one. He lowered his ERA to 6.06 and has shown signs of greatness over his last four appearances. I never doubted him for a second…

Plus, Yankees starters have now surrendered just one walk in the last three games. The Yanks have won three in a row and six of eight overall. It’s Hughes Day tomorrow, with Philty going against Brad Bergesen in game two of this three-game set. LET’S GO YANKS!!!!
