When it rains it pours...

…and it is a goddamn thunderstorm in the Bronx right now with regards to injuries.

It appears that Jorge Posada will miss 3-4 weeks with a hairline fracture in his right foot. Sure, why not? With the setback, the Yanks will most likely call up Chad Moeller to be Frankie Cervelli’s backup. In addition to Georgie, Marcus Thames also went down during Wednesday’s shitshow with a sprained ankle after STEPPING ON HIS BAT while running to first base. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. However, Girardi said after the game that x-rays were negative and he will not require a trip to the DL.

Other Yankee injuries include: Nick Swisher with a strained left biceps, though he is expected back in the lineup any day now; Nick Johnson with a wrist injury, who knows how long he’ll be out; Curtis Granderson with a strained groin, he should be back in early June; and Alfredo Aceves with a bulging disc in his back, he should be back in the next few days.

It seems like the 2010 Yanks are slowly turning into the 2009 Mets except, you know, with a lot less losing and suckiness.
