It’s official, no baseball tonight

by Yankees

Due to heavy rain in the forecast, Game 6 of the ALCS will take place on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m.

That’s just great, first pitch is the same time as kickoff between Giants/Cards.

Girardi has said that Pettitte will still get the nod for the Yanks, but the Angels will most likely (though not definitely) send Jered Weaver (instead of Joe Saunders) on full rest and have Lackey available for Game 7.

Just a random thought here, why didn’t they try to get this game in during the afternoon? With heavy rain in the forecast through the night, why not try to squeeze it in around 2:30-3:00? Nah, that would’ve made too much sense.

I’ve got a feeling (if the Yanks do indeed win) that they’re going to get screwed with the WS starting on Wednesday. If the Angels win on Sunday and CC pitches Game 7 on Monday, how is he going to start Game 1 of the WS? I’ve got a bad feeling about this…
