Yanks keep rolling

The Yanks beat the hell out of the Angels Friday night, 4-1, to grab a 1-0 lead in the ALCS.

CC was his usual dominating self and NYY was helped by some timely errors from the Halos. CC: 8 innings, 1R, 4H, 1BB, 7K. That was money VERY well spent.

The most important thing, I think, was the play of Damon and Melk-Dog. Damon: 2-for-5, 2 R; Melk-Dog: 1-for-2, 1R, 2 BB.

Swish-Dog and Tex, on the other hand, continued their playoff struggles. Swish: 1-for-4, 2K, 0BB; Tex: 1-for-5, 2K. That shit just won’t fly. Tex did play some great defense at first, and Swish was solid in right, but if they start hitting the Yanks will be more unstoppable.

A-Rod showed heart, although that play at home was reminiscent of the Bronson Arroyo play in ’04. Not cool. But a win is a win.

Matsui, again, was solid and is so underrated in clutch spots. I love Godzilla…despite his porn addiction.

Game 2 is scheduled for 7:57 Saturday night. AJ vs. Joe Saunders. I like the matchup, but it kind of sucks that Molina (most likely) will be behind the plate. F’ him. Why not start Cervelli?
